3 Useful Websites of Psychology

The science of psychology is the science who study the mind and the behaviour of people. In psychology, it has a lot of terms, different sectors and many links to do. Also with that science, we observe that some people have mental problems and, in this sense, society needs experts in this field: psychologists and psychotherapists, to treat these people.This listicle introduces three websites that I find great to have idea about sectors and approaches of psychology, know more about expert consultation in psychology and know the rules to become one of them.

1. Distinguish the different terms of psychology.

The first website that I present to you is PsycholoGenie (https://psychologenie.com/glossary-of-psychology-terms-definitions). PsycholoGenie is a website who completely talk about psychology, it has a lot of different articles who talk about specific things. My favorite article on this website and the for whom I present this site is the one named Glossary of Psychology Terms and Definitions. In this article you have a ton of terms about psychology clearly explained, even for people who know nothing about this field. It is a great article because it allows to everyone to distinguish the basics of some approaches, like the biological, the behavioral, etc, but also from the fields in psychology, like neuropsychology, clinical psychology and more.

2. Know the basics about consulting a psychologist.

The second one is named Canadian Psychological Association (https://www.cpa.ca/publicfr/). This is the official website of the association of psychology of Canada and It is useful for the professionals, but also for the students in psychology and the public because it contains a ton of information about psychology. The most useful part in my opinion is the tab named Public, this tab answer the basic questions of the population about the consultation of a psychologist and can permit to be more open to consult when mental well-being is no longer present.                              

3. Become a psychologist.

The third website that I introduce to you is The College of Psychologists of Ontario (http://www.cpo.on.ca/?LangType=1033). This website is particularly for the psychologists of Ontario, but we have his equivalent in Quebec and also in the other provinces. In fact, to practice the clinical psychology and treat patients you need to be credited in this order. I find that this website is useful for the future or the present psychologists because it gives you information about the different obligations and formations of an expert in psychology, but also allows to patients to be sure of the professionalism of psychologists and to be protected in case of problems. Like that, if a career in psychology interest you or if you have problems with the expert who treat you this site is an unmissable to visit.
